50+ Bus Shelter EICR Batches

Regular batch EICR testing of external street furniture

Location Central Scotland
Assets 50+ units per batch
Service EICR & Fixed-Wire Testing
Scope Batch EICR testing of external street furniture

The Brief

External street furniture such as illuminated bus shelters carries its own electrical installation, and like any installation it needs periodic inspection and testing to stay safe and compliant. The asset owner needed a reliable partner who could work through the estate in batches of 50-plus units and keep clean, per-unit records for the whole programme.

What We Did

  • Batch programme: we worked through the units in batches of 50-plus, planning routes so the on-street time was used efficiently and the estate stayed in date.
  • EICR on each unit: each installation inspected and tested to BS 7671, with the condition recorded and any faults flagged clearly.
  • Per-unit documentation: every unit documented individually so the asset owner has a clear, auditable record for each item of street furniture, not just a single summary.
  • Repeatable and reliable: a consistent process the owner can call on for regular batches, keeping the whole estate on a predictable testing cycle.

The Result

The asset owner has a dependable route to keeping a large estate of external electrical installations tested and documented, batch after batch. It is a good example of the volume compliance work Knowire is set up to handle: efficient on site, consistent in the paperwork, and easy to repeat on a schedule.
